** Winner of the Facebook / Gates Foundation HackEd 2.0 hackathon, London 2013 ** Zammer helps people get better exam grades by making revision more effective thanks to a fun, social game mechanism. Learners from K12, higher ed and professional courses play a quiz game by challenging friends or in a solo game. We have a freemium model where individuals can purchase multiple subjects and also a school licence which provides school specific content as well as a set of management and analysis tools on a per pupil, per year basis. Each question relates to a learning item from a certain curriculum. Answering questions correctly, more quickly and in chains gives mastery points towards the relevant learning objective. When a learning objective is achieved we award a "Zollar" which can be redeemed in the "Zollar Store" for avatar costumes etc. For learners we are about making revision work but for teachers we are about assessment and it is this intersection that makes our product powerful.
