By connecting older people by enabling simple video calling on their TV we bring a scalable method of care delivery to the people who use care services the most. Loneliness is a huge healthcare problem. It has a massive impact on mortality and morbidity. SpeakSet combats loneliness and isolation in old age by turning an older person’s TV into a really simple video calling device. It’s been built specifically for older users and works through the TV because this is the one piece of technology they are familiar with. SpeakSet makes video calling accessible and so enables older people to speak face to face with their loved ones and carers wherever they are in the world.
