Mailcloud is helping the world work easier and faster by building smarter email and messaging on iPhone and Android. The company was founded in February 2014 by Malcolm Bell to solve his own problem of receiving 145,000 emails in a year at his previous startup (and having to use 10 different web services to manage them all). In October 2014, Mailcloud closed a Seed round of $2,8ml led by Octopus Investments with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Seedcamp and Kima Ventures along with angels including Advent Ventures and Felix Capital Partner Frederic Court, Skyscanner Co Founder Barry Smith, Head of Facebook Platform Europe Julien Cordorniou, Deezer Founder Daniel Malhery and others. The company has an incredible team of 15 engineers and designers working in London, Gothenburg, Warsaw, Cape Town and Sao Paolo. Seeing, is believing.
