Customers are hugely frustrated with existing European rail websites, and Loco2 is here to take away the pain. We're integrated with the six largest rail booking systems across Europe (more than any other site). We've been going since 2012 and growing very rapidly, with a 9.2 Trustpilot rating after over 4000 reviews http://trustpilot.co.uk/review/loco2.com. The full booking takes place on our site rather than redirecting to affiliates, meaning that we have a very slick process from search through to booking. We're the first company to offer combinations of tickets across numerous rail providers, as well intelligently integrating pan-European timetable data to expose optimal routes (lots more work to do on that!). Our tech consists of a pure ruby backend (for querying booking systems), PostgreSQL, a rails web application and lots of JS on the front-end. Our full mobile strategy is currently in stealth mode.
