Glopho is a photo-sharing marketplace designed specifically to allow anyone to “make the news”, and possibly make money too. Glopho offers not just a place to publicly share news photos but also an opportunity to sell them. Glopho provides media owners with an organised source of new content in a world where the news is increasing captured by all of us on our phones. We are all now producers - not just consumers - of news. Glopho is completely free to use and takes ‘citizen photo-journalism’ to new levels by introducing unique crowd-sourcing and news curation elements to photo sharing. And most importantly the user retains copyright to any photo that they upload and if Glopho sells it, they get 50% of the proceeds. Sort of Getty meets Instagram.
