E-lucid allows any licensing organisation, particularly University Tech Transfer Offices, to transact non-exclusive IP licences in a fully automated manner. Developed by UCLB the tech transfer office for UCL, the customer-facing web portal is sold as a white-labelled SaaS product. For the licensing manager it removes the particular headaches of paper licensing and multiple email trails for internal approvals / notifications. It also provides a marketing platform for the licensed products which can include software, materials, documents and even hardware. For the licensee it removes the barrier of having to approach a busy University licensing department for a negotiation on terms and pricing. E-lucid is already in use at the tech transfer offices of UCL, Imperial College, Manchester University and Edinburgh University and currently being reviewed by several others including in the USA,
