Double is a location based dating app for double dates which allows you to sign up with a friend and find other pairs nearby. Double’s vision is to be the dating platform with the most face to face interactions between users. People frequently use dating platforms like Tinder but rarely, if ever, meet people in real life as they think meeting face to face could be awkward, intimidating and potentially unsafe. Double breaks down the barriers to real life interactions. Double dates are inherently more fun due to group dynamics, there is less chance of those infamous awkward silences and safer because of safety in numbers. We launched Double in the run up to Valentine’s Day 2015 and have a userbase of 6,000 focused in London. We have been featured in Mail Online, Huffington Post and Time Out. Our userbase is active and double dates are being arranged daily using the app. We are currently working on a freemium version of Double and aim to start generating revenue by June 2015.
