NodeWeaver is the first open platform designed to seamlessly weave together virtualization, storage and networking in a single, autonomous system. A scalable hardware and software appliance, it runs and execute virtual machines without the need of external components, in a way that is scalable (just add more nodes) and totally reliable. NodeWeaver provides a simplified web interface, easily customized and extended, and leverages its internal distributed file system to avoid the need for external, costly SAN storage-with SSD tiering, instantaneous and unlimited snapshots and thin provisioning. Every NodeWeaver appliance is designed to be capable of managing faults transparently and autonomously. If a disk fails, requests are transparently rerouted to an online replica; if a node fails, virtual machines are reinstantiated automatically on the remaining nodes.
